The brunch was delicious and the rest of the ladies were chatty and pleasant, nothing weird there. The decorations were pretty pink to acknowledge what we had all found out prior to the event -our beloved Maggie would be having a little girl, a future <strong>baby</strong> shower attender if you will. Honestly, I had barely recovered from my own recent pregnancy and subsequent birth of a beautiful <strong>baby</strong> boy before I got whipped up in a whirlwind of everyone else I know getting pregnant. My sister, two cousins, and several close and nearly close friends. This was the first shower but everyone there knew the ball was rolling on everyone in our social circle becoming a parent. So I almost felt like something of a wise sage.<span id="more-1720"></span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>What was truly strange though was the pile of gifts. There were some bags and hard to distinguish boxes, perfectly wrapped with <strong>baby</strong> oriented wrapping paper and gorgeous ribbons. There was also more than half a dozen <strong>stroller</strong>s, all different shapes and sizes lined up, each had a bow on it or some sort of flair. Some had tied fancy rattles to the handles, or draped lovely <strong>baby</strong> bags. Still there was no denying there was a weird and wide array of the best <strong>baby strollers</strong> around on display. We all wondered, the rudest of us aloud, which would she choose and which would she send back?</p>

<p>So we were all surprised when she seemed to appreciate something different about each one. The amount of space on a certain <strong>baby</strong> carriage seemed like it would be a good thing if she were going to be out of the house for a while. There was the jogging <strong>stroller</strong>, a must have for anyone, especially someone as traditionally athletic as Maggie. There were a few lightweight <strong>stroller</strong>s that would make travel in certain situations very easy, not to mention lighten the load when packing and unpacking the car on longer trips. Honestly, there was something that Maggie found to love about each and every one of those <strong>baby strollers</strong>.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>So when decision time came, she kept them all. She now had a different <strong>baby</strong> <strong>stroller</strong> for every day of the week and you know she used every one of them. I was very surprised by how malleable she was about the whole thing. No favorites, just practical decision making each morning when she took the little <strong>baby</strong> out. It was like <strong>stroller</strong>s were the new shoes. Needless to say everyone&#8217;s <strong>baby</strong> showers would mirror this one from here out. I guess it is not so strange any more.</p>

<p><strong>The ingredients<span id="more-3314"></span></strong></p>
<p>Two perfumers, Olivier Polge in Paris and Carlos Benaïm in New York, created <strong>L’Homme Libre</strong>, the newest facet of <strong>L’Homme by Yves Saint Laurent</strong>. Together, they have reinterpreted the territory of woody aromatics by adding a fresh modernity to the fragrance.<br />
After a hesperide opening featuring Calabrian bergamot, the fragrance reveals a new freshness enhanced by violet leaves, basil and star anis, and enlivened with a shiver of nutmeg and pink pepper.</p>
<p>The woody architecture of patchouli and vetiver anchors the accord in a sparkling, masculine register, while the scent of resin and warm leather flows like a warm breeze through the heart of the city.</p>
<p>A fragrance resolutely modern, subtle and yet very present, expressing power and freedom. The elegance of a classic structure in tension with an unexpected, fresh aquatic touch.</p>
<p><strong>The Bottle</strong></p>
<p>Sculpted in light, L’Homme Libre bottle follows the same graphic codes as <strong>L’Homme and La Nuit de L’Homme.</strong><br />
A transparent hexagonal cap and smoky blue bottle that becomes progressively lighter as it rises, fills the senses and the spirit.<br />
An almost electric blue cuts through the bottle like an exclamation point. Against the matte silver packaging, the same powerful blue illuminates the <strong>YSL Cassandre</strong> signature logo that in turn seems to vibrate in the intensity of the surrounding hexagonal waves.<br />

<p>Hugh Laurie is a gifted all-rounder. After completing his studies in anthropology at Cambridge University, he started his acting career in 1982 and played many roles in movies and TV series, including 101 Dalmatians and Stuart Little. He has also provided voices in many movies, including Valiant, Monsters Vs. Aliens and the recently released Hop with Russell Brand.</p>

<p>Hugh was already famous in Great Britain by the time he landed the leading role in the series Dr House, where he plays Doctor Gregory House so naturally that his performance is almost disconcerting. House is a misanthropic anti-hero who solves medical problems in the manner of a detective. Hugh’s performance in the role has brought him two Golden Globes, two Screen Actors Guild awards, two Television Critics Association awards and the People’s Choice award in 2009.</p>
<p>The series also took advantage of Hugh’s talent as a musician and composer by including musical asides where he sings his own compositions. Hugh is part of the charity cover band Band from TV, who donate all their proceeds to different charity organizations. He has also released his first solo blues album, Let Them Talk, on the Warner Bros label.</p>
<p>His talent as a writer was also revealed with his first novel, The Gun Seller, published in France as Tout est sous contrôle. The book is now sold in 30 languages.</p>
<p>The artist doesn’t intend to rest on his laurels. Last year he completed the feature film The Oranges opposite Leighton Meester, and this year he travels to Papua New Guinea to shoot Mr. Pip based on the novel by Lloyd Jones.</p>
<p>He is now joining the L’Oréal Paris family, alongside Gerard Butler, Beyoncé Knowles, Aimee Mullins, Jennifer Lopez, Patrick Dempsey, Gwen Stefani, Jane Fonda and Rachel Weisz.</p>

Pass out invitation cards that look like tombstones. Greet your guests, or pesky “live” trick or treat-ers with skeleton heads or fake hands reaching up from the ground and create a spooky cemetery effect on your front lawn. Don’t disappoint your guests! Live up to the holiday spirit by spiffing up your house décor.</p>
<p>Instead of using plain white sheets, create a hangman&#8217;s noose and hang them around the room. Use ambient light, artificial fog, recorded haunting music and a few witches surprising your arriving guests. Halloween decor can be readily found in the most unlikely of places. If you can not find exactly what you are looking for in your local stores, you can always procure decorations from your friendly neighborhood Halloween specialty shop.<span id="more-3279"></span></p>
<p>Don’t forget the food! The undead have BIG appetites. Serve the undead’s favorite, body parts! Serve boiled hotdogs as severed human fingers. Make a fruit punch made of Red Kool-Aid and drop peeled grapes in it, as human eyeballs. Form your cookies into creepy shapes, like spiders or witch&#8217;s fingers, using cookie cutters or your hands. Top your cupcakes with anything from candy corn and gummy worms to novelty rings and plastic spiders or decorate them with creepy designs.</p>
<p>To “liven” things up a bit, have your smallest guests play Mummy Von Wrap. All you need are a roll of toilet paper for each pair of children. The first one to completely wrap their partner up in toilet paper wins! For adults, two rolls may be required for a slightly more complicated task. Once the first partner is completely rolled, they in turn will have to wrap their unwrapped partner. First pair to empty their two rolls of toilet paper brings home a special prize.</p>
<p>Another fun and fulfilling thing you can do is to prepare a witch hunt game for everyone! Cut out paper witch hats. Color two hats a different color from the rest. Hide all the witch hats throughout the house and send the kids to find all the hats. The kids who find the different colored hats get the biggest prize and the two who got the most hats collected get the next biggest prize. Have extra prizes in case of ties. Also, you might want some small prizes for the people who didn&#8217;t get a prize. And don’t forget to park your broom by the door!</p>
<p>Do not forget the most important token of the event, your giveaways! The possibilities are endless when it comes to party favors. It all depends on the number of people you are inviting and your budget for the occasion. An easy idea is to have each guest pose for a picture next to the winner of the best costume in the party.</p>
<p>If you have a digital camera, you can instantly print out the pictures and send them home with them in an inexpensive Halloween frame and a thank you note as a simple party favor that they will treasure as a precious memory for a lifetime.</p>
