Artificial Nails

March 26, 2009 By: admin Category: Body care

Now everyone knows the artificial nails, well implemented and that good design can make your hands into beauty hands. In the world of artificial nails, there are many types, for example:

The packing or acrylics, wraps and I have also recently heard about the resin, a new material for artificial nails. In both cases the first session is very long because you have to put manicure.

To put the artificial nail, the natural nail most be filed, then will be placed on the different types of fixing agents, gums and resins, or adjust the Wraps or the acrylic tips size. In both cases, manicures become more durable but they require maintenance. Acrylics last longer, the wraps last about two weeks.

Wraps

It will be put it on the natural nail to strengthen it and for repair broken nails. To lengthen the nails are used tips. The wraps are essentially a material fixed on the natural nail with a very powerful artificial resins. The most used are called silk or glass fiber (fiberglass). The only difference is the type of fabric used. Silk wraps reveals the texture of the material which doesn’t seen so natural and must always be painted in colors that cover either. If the wraps are not well put they tended to lift. Well made are durable and make nails more resistant.

Acrylic nails

The natural nail is covered with acrylic tips, which sticks to the nail. Extensions can be plastic or acrylic or in natural colors or can be used the one that are already painted or decorated.

Gel nails

The gels are another type of acrylic. The acrylic nails looks thick and therefore the most widely used system in Europe are the gels or gelatin but this type are also expanding rapidly in the United States. Its advantages are light, not weaken the natural nail like the acrylic and and do not smell too bad when you put it. The material of the gels is a type of acrylic that hardens with light. They need a special lamp where the fingers is placed for a while to harden then. The also present the same characteristics of previous acrylics.

Disadvantages

The natural nail should be file (the total nail not only the tips) this causes the nail to get weak once you remove them.
Adhesives or fasteners that are used had a very strong chemical smell and are not beneficial to health and also the products to remove them. During the whole process the natural nail is much abused, materials to be used in artificial nails are very strong chemicals and they are expensive too. Require time and special equipment so they are considerably more expensive than regular manicure. In addition, maintenance, keeping each session is also more expensive than the regular manicures.
Risk of infection. Because of the microscopic space between the natural nail and the glues so humidity may accumulate and cause the growth of bacteria or fungi, the possibility that increases if they are not maintained.
