Money is not the key to happiness. More ‘stuff’ is not the key to happiness. Winning the lottery and spending the rest of your life on a tropical island – while intoxicating to the ear – is not the key to happiness.

What is, on the other hand, is exciting news.

You are responsible for your own happiness!

I work at a major retailer that employ’s a large number of college students… I’m amazed at the amount of drama that is involved in their lives… I often ask if they understand that they are responsible for their own happiness… 99 % don’t get it!

When I was growing up you learned at an early age how to entertain yourself and how to avoid certain personality types… there were no electronic devices given to you to divert your attention from the responsibility of entertaining yourself… instead Mom simple gave you a empty box or a discarded broom, the rest was up to your imagination… The box became a hideout and the broom a horse that you chased the bad guys on, yippee ki yea… (more…)
